What is the CA DPH's Opinion of Measles Vaccine Efficacy?
Since at least 2015, "Personnel treating a measles case should use an N95 respirator, regardless of evidence of measles immunity"
June 9, 2015, National Vaccine Advisory Committee Meeting Presentation Minutes & Kathleen Harriman, PhD, MPH, of the California Department of Public Health, Immunization Branch, PowerPoint presentation, “It’s a Small World After All”, analyzing the Disney Measles Outbreak.

“Lessons Learned from Investigating Healthcare Exposures”.
“HCP (Health Care Providers) providing direct patient care with a measles case should wear an N95 respirator regardless of whether they have acceptable evidence of measles immunity”. Acceptable evidence = 2 MMR or IgG+ antibody test.
NVAC Minutes:
“People fully vaccinated for measles have been involved in measles transmission.”
“CDPH treats vaccinated people as infectious as all other measles cases during contact investigations.”
COMMENT: As a child with 3 siblings in the 1960’s in the SF Bay Area, my pediatrician, Dr. Roth, was never concerned about contracting measles from my siblings or I, because he had natural immunity.
If the CA DPH is not confident the MMR will prevent measles transmission, then why should we?

This guidance tells HCP that regardless of if you have 2 or more MMR, and or an IgG+ positive test for antibodies if you treat a measles case you must wear PPE and assume you are susceptible.
If the vaccine cannot reliably protect a Health Care Provider from a measles patient, should we expect it to protect a student from infecting another student or a teacher?
If the California Department of Public Health doesn't trust the MMR to prevent measles infections, then why should we?
Speculation: Is this why Public Health panics every time there is a measles case?
I used to think it was just to bludgeon exemption using families.
Now I wonder; is it because they know they have destroyed the real, natural balance of measles in the human population pre-vaccine, where all adults were immune, and are terrified an outbreak is going to get away from them with a failing vaccine?
A vaccine that is capable of causing a “febrile rash illness”, that may be transmissible?
Disney Measles Outbreak Media Coverage Addressed in NVAC Discussion
Dr. Orenstein", “…emphasized the recent media coverage focused almost solely on vaccine hesitancy.”
All media focus was engineered to blame nonmedical exemption availability for California school children for required school attendance vaccines as the cause of the outbreak.
