I have wondered the same. When they first started vaccinating the majority of the population had lifelong natural immunity. Now those people are dying off. My daughter born in 81 had to get a second shot of mmr at ten or 11 because the single shot they said was good forever was not. The pertussis vaccine doesn’t prevent infection or transmission and seems to make people more susceptible for their entire lives. When given to pregnant women it supposedly gives the newborn immunity for a few months but then interferes with the baby making as many effective antibodies when they are vaccinated. Polio is another can of worms because they used opv which reverts to virulence and some of it will likely always be in waste water in area with poor sanitation. From what I understand, it gives good mucosal immunity so people who have had it and later are exposed don’t shed virus except for a normally brief period after immunization. Although some shed for years. Evidently, those who get the shot don’t initially shed but if exposed don’t become ill even though the virus can replicate in their digestive tract. The public has been sold a simplified and optimistic view of vaccines to uphold the paradigm and get shots in every arm. Forgot about the cock up with the mumps portion of the mmr being falsified . The whole time the whistle blower suit was going on more cases were occurring in fully vaccinated college students and the media never once reported on the lawsuit. It was finally resolved after more than a decade in Merck’s favor as the judge said that the government would have purchased it regardless of any malfeasance
