MMR & MMRV Vaccine Febrile Seizure Rates

Seizures 1/3500 to 1/1250 Recipients, 15%-22% 102f plus Fever, 5% "Rash", 3% Fever Visit. The new VIS omits quantified reaction rates.

Measles Containing Vaccines, MCV, are very reactive.

The MMR vaccine administered alone provokes a febrile seizure 1 in 3500 recipients.

The MMR administered with a separate varicella or chicken pox vaccine provokes a seizure 1 in 2500 administrations.

The MMRV Pro Quad 4 in 1 combination vaccine provokes a seizure 1 in 1250 administrations.

This speaks directly against the claims that single vaccines are not reactive, that single vaccines administered together are not more reactive than single vaccines, and that combination vaccines are not more reactive than single vaccines.

These febrile seizures are not discrete events, but the crescendo of a weeklong ordeal of an ever increasingly ill child with the majority of seizures occurring 7 to 10 days after administration.

15% to 22% of recipients experience a fever in excess of 102F.

3% of recipients become so ill their parents bring them back to the office for an outpatient fever visit, for reassurance that this is “normal”.

The vaccine reactions described in these documents are arguably equal to or exceed the discomfort of the illnesses the vaccines are intending to prevent.

The reaction rates of these vaccines illustrate the tension between Public Health objectives and what they consider to be acceptable injury rates to achieve a goal, and Parent levels of acceptable risk rates to their child to achieve that goal.

Public Health considers it acceptable that 1250 MMRV administrations cause:

275 children to experience fevers in excess of 102F;

63 children to have a “rash” and fever that is clinically identical to natural measles;

38 children to return to the office for a fever visit;

and 1 child a febrile seizure often requiring an ER admission.

Now, extrapolate those rates across the 8 million MMR & V, or MMRV administrations every year just to meet the ACIP 2 dose MMR & Varicella “recommendations”.

Note: The new Vaccine Information Sheets now do not include the quantified rates so that these calculations cannot be made.
